GET IN TOUCH
Here are some of the most common questions people ask.
You don’t need to read it all, just dip into whatever feels useful. And if your question isn’t covered here, feel free to reach out. I’m happy to talk things through.
Absolutely. You’re welcome to book a single session, or chat with me first by phone or email (15 minutes, free of charge) to see if we’re a good fit. Get in touch.
The sessions are tailored to you. However, our first session will include introductions, confidentiality, and how we’ll work together. I can send paperwork to you beforehand or you can read it in session and talk through it together, whatever feels most helpful.
After that, sessions are shaped by you: you decide what to bring, and I offer support, reflection, and tools when helpful.
It’s a bit like ‘how long is a piece of string?’.
Some people come once for a specific focus. Others choose ongoing work to go deeper.
We’ll discuss a pace that feels right (one off, weekly, fortnightly, monthly).
When it’s time to close, I support that decision thoughtfully and without pressure.
Counselling sessions (1:1): £60 for 50 minutes
Reflective supervision (1:1): £75 for 50 minutes
Relational sessions (you + one or more others): £85 for 50 minutes || £100 for 60 minutes || £135 for 80 minutes
Group work & workshops: Flexible, dependent on group size and requirements
Longer sessions are available, charged in line with these rates.
If cost is a barrier, I hold a limited number of subsidised spaces. Feel free to ask about that availability, no explanation needed.
I have a first-class BSc (Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy, which qualifies me as a counsellor & psychotherapist.
My training was in a pluralistic approach, another word for integrative, which means I draw from a range of theories and methods to suit your needs.
My core foundation is in person-centred experiential therapy, and I’ve built on that with additional training in trauma-informed practice, creative methods, coaching, neurodivergence-affirming approaches, GSRD (Gender, Sexuality, and Relationship Diversity) therapy, and relational work.
I’m fully insured and a member of two professional bodies:
Accredited Registrant Member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS, membership no. NCPS745)
Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP 415538)
Both memberships mean I work within established ethical frameworks and professional standards. I also engage in regular clinical supervision to reflect on and improve my practice.
I always tailor the work to you, and I'm happy to explain what I’m doing and why, whenever it’s helpful.
It's always shaped by you. My approach is integrative, which means I don’t follow a single model or rigid formula. The way we work will depend on you, your pace, your needs.
That might mean exploring the different parts of yourself, paying attention to how your body holds emotion, or noticing how your nervous system responds to life. We might explore what helps you feel safe enough to connect, express yourself, or grow.
Often, we’ll be making space for the Self that’s been navigating systems, patterns, and expectations for a long time, and finding ways back to your own voice and agency.
Sometimes that includes tools, sometimes it’s about being with what’s here.
What matters most is that we stay curious, collaborative, and grounded in what actually supports you and not just what looks tidy from the outside.
Yes, absolutely. Many of the practices that hold meaning for people (like tarot, astrology, ancestral ritual, or moon phase reflections) have long, rich histories, even if they’ve been sidelined by 'text book' frameworks.
If something supports your self-understanding or helps you feel grounded, it’s welcome in our work together.
This is a space where intuition, ritual, and non-clinical wisdom can sit alongside other therapeutic tools. Whether it’s something you practice regularly or something you’re curious about, we can explore it together with care, consent, and respect.
And if it’s not your thing? That’s completely fine too. This is your space.
People often find that speaking honestly, without judgment, makes a real difference, sometimes even after one session.
Here are some of the support I have offered:
Identity exploration & neurodivergence
Self-worth, internalised messages, and shame
Moral injury, distress, existential questions
Boundaries, relational awareness, connection
Non-traditional and complex relationships
Life transitions, anxiety, low mood, grief, isolation
Spiritual exploration and meaning-making
Personal growth and inner work
This isn't exhaustive, and you don't need to have the right words to begin.
If you're unsure, feel free to reach out for a no-pressure chat.
I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged at the full rate.
I’m fully compliant under GDPR, meaning your data rights, consent, and confidentiality are respected at every step. My full Privacy & Data policy is available on my policy page.
